湘潭市新景家园住宅小区位于湘潭市河西地区韶山东路板块内，属城乡结合区。处于熙春路以南、沿江东路以北、三大桥北引线以西、柏荫路东侧的合围区域，该地段三面均临城市干道；地势较为平坦，现状用地有部分池塘水面，南面低于沿江大道路面标高2-3米；区内现状建筑以低矮民宅为主，拆迁面积与越4600m²，另外小区西面有市八中及东门小学。
